Phoenix Tree International Education Center (PTIEC), a proud branch of Beijing Language and Culture University (BLCU), was founded in 2012 in Chicago. For over 8 years, we’ve partnered with 1,300+ schools and universities across North America to bring quality Chinese language education to life.
Since 2016, we’ve led immersive China Trip Programs that combine cultural discovery and language exchange. So far, 300+ students and teachers join us annually—across 21+ schools—for personalized, short-term journeys that bridge the gap between the U.S. and China, both in culture and communication.

Pioneering Chinese Language Education
Phoenix Tree Education is an organization under the Beijing Language and Culture University (BLCU), a renowned institution in Beijing, China, that specializes in sharing Chinese language and culture through opportunities both within and outside of China. Established in 1962, BLCU is the only university in China that focuses exclusively on teaching Chinese language and culture to non-native speakers.
To learn a language is to live it. As part of the mission to allow students to truly live the Chinese language, we believe in providing the experiences outside of the classroom that can enrich students' learning and remain as memories for years to come.
